Kia has given a sneak preview of its upcoming PV7 electric van ahead of its global debut at IAA Transportation later this month.

The PV7 is the brand’s second dedicated, all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) model, positioned directly above the smaller PV5 and bridging the gap between long-wheelbase medium vans and full-sized options such as the Ford E-Transit.

Delivering more space and capability than the PV5, the vehicle is designed specifically for large-scale fleet logistics, delivery services and multi-seat passenger transportation. Kia says it meets a broad range of commercial and lifestyle use cases.

The teaser images give a hint of the new van’s one-box profile with robust proportions and Kia’s signature front and rear lamp graphics. The PV5 also gets a black hood and pillar garnish to deliver a sharp contrast with the body colour.

As with the PV5, it’s built on the dedicated E-GMP.S platform. Technical details are still under wraps but the PV5 Cargo offers two main fully electric battery and motor options to suit needs, giving up to 258 miles (416km) of electric range. Given the PV7’s larger footprint and commercial requirements, it’s expected to offer a larger battery pack to maintain a similar, competitive range.

As a key pillar of its PBV strategy, the PV7 and its future derivatives will further expand the PBV line-up and broaden Kia’s business mobility offering.

The PV7 will make its global debut at IAA Transportation in Hanover, Germany on 14 September 2026. The event will also see Kia showcase a range of PV5 derivatives, highlighting the scalability of the brand’s PBV strategy and its continued expansion across multiple customer applications.

Models on display will include the PV5 Cargo L2/H2, PV5 Cargo L1/H1, PV5 Chassis, PV5 Passenger 7-seat, PV5 WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) and PV5 Food Truck, demonstrating the real-world use cases and conversion flexibility of the PV5.
