McDonald's to offer free EV charging in Italy

The units comprise a mix of Rolec SecuriCharge: EV wall-mounted points and AutoCharge: EV Pedestals with pay-as-you-go tokens, all of which feature the restaurant chain’s branding. Staff are also being encouraged to use electric vehicles.

Rolec’s International EV Manager, Bianca Alsop, said: “One of the branches took our charging points on a trial at first, and were so pleased with them that other branches soon ordered their own. McDonald’s customers can now request a charging token with their meal, allowing them to charge their EV for an hour – thus providing an average drive of around 20 miles for free.”
