Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is using portable chargers from Juice Technology to provide a flexible charging solution for its car and van fleet.

The portable charging stations provide a flexible EV solution

The infrastructure specialist has committed to converting its entire fleet to all-electric vehicles by 2030. It manages a total fleet of 450 commercial vehicles and around 700 company cars, of which half are already electric and the rest are set to make the switch in the next three years.

The company is using portable charging stations from Juice Technology to enable flexible charging solution at its EV depots and temporary sites.

The 22kW Juice Booster 2 units give its EV fleet access to energy anywhere and at any time, bridging gaps in the charging network.

The charging stations offer different options in terms of connections and different adaptors to facilitate EV charging wherever power is available and adjust to the correct configuration, allowing drivers to safely take advantage of maximum charging speed.

Magnor Plant Hire, part of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, said temporary charging solutions were particularly suited to its work, where sites are only set up for the duration of the project.

Jonathan Hall, plant & transport director, added: “The Juice Booster 2 makes it far easier to change the number of charging points and it provides a wealth of options in terms of connections and different adaptors. The big advantage is the flexibility to rapidly increase and reduce the charging capacity, which is something that really makes a difference because our people will move across to another project as soon as the current project winds up. Compared to other solutions, this system is very simple and straightforward, it absolutely fills the gap in the market in terms of what we are looking for.”
