The partnership will see the brands cooperate on shared technologies with vehicles to be developed under each brand. Manufacturing for ICONIQ will take place in NEVS’ joint venture manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China – which recently gained its EV production licence –  while NEVS will also use its Trollhättan facility.

The cooperation was agreed during the Shanghai Auto Show lately, where ICONIQ unveiled its Seven electric MPV, which starts production in 2019. NEVS has also announced it is to develop an E-segment EV commuter vehicle, with production to start in 2020.
