MG has confirmed the UK arrival of the S9 PHEV as the brand’s first seven-seat SUV, priced £34,205 to £36,945.
Unveiled just hours after Jaecoo announced its flagship seven-seat SUV, the MGS9 PHEV also enters the fray, bringing the right to models such as the Škoda Kodiaq, Peugeot 5008 and Kia Sorento.
Accidentally revealed late 2025 in crash safety ratings from Euro NCAP, the MGS9 PHEV is a “competitive new entrant” to the large SUV sector.
Already available in Australia as the MG QS, the new seven-seater is a versatile and spacious SUV with three rows of seats and more than 1,000 litres of boot space with the rear seats folded. Even with all seven seats in use, there is still 332 litres of space up for grabs.
The PHEV powertrain combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery offering an electric range of up to 62 miles, putting it in the 10% Benefit-in-Kind bracket for 2026/7.

Equipment includes leather-style upholstery, large panoramic sunroof, powered seats that are heated, ventilated and massaging, and tri-zone air conditioning.
As already revealed by Euro NCAP, the MGS9 PHEV has secured the top-level five-star rating, thanks in part to its extensive use of high-strength steel and up to 16 advanced driver assistance technologies.
Order books are open now, with full specification details due to be announced later this month as the first cars arrive in MG showrooms across the UK.
