Xpeng’s reworked G6 electric SUV-coupé is now available to order and test-drive at dealers nationwide.

The Tesla Model Y rival has been overhauled just a year after it first launched in the UK, bringing big changes for performance, design, technology and efficiency.

Key milestones include the arrival of the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) Performance Black Edition for the first time, available from £49,990.

At the same time, the Chinese electric car brand has held prices at £39,990 for the RWD Standard Range and £44,990 for the Long Range.

Xpeng says the range of variants offers customers a choice between maximum efficiency and enhanced performance capability.

The brand has also made more than 20,000 engineering refinements spanning charging performance, battery management, chassis tuning, software and interior quality. These updates focus on improving real-world usability, comfort, and overall refinement, while “maintaining highly competitive pricing in the premium electric SUV market”.

Updates centre around a new 800V electrical architecture paired with a new-gen 80.8kWh battery lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This enables ultra-fast charging from 10-80% in as little as 12 minutes under optimal conditions, alongside a WLTP driving range of up to 326 miles depending on variant and specification.

The new G6 is also available from launch with a range of finance offers. The G6 Standard Range is available from £289 per month on PCP (personal contract purchase) with an initial rental of £10,249 on a 49-month agreement, with an optional final payment of £15,869. BCH (business contract hire) is also available at £289 per month with an initial rental of £2,601 on a 36-month agreement.
