New York City Council to pilot EV charging points

Targeting between two and seven units per borough, the programme is aimed at investigating the cost of rolling out infrastructure, frequency of use and set out guidelines for a wider charging network over a four-year period.

If enacted, the council would be required to begin installing the units within 180 days, with each site featuring a data connection to report information back to the council, as well as showing their location on its website.
