Fast-growing Chinese brand Omoda has revealed the newest weapon in its automotive offensive in the form of the Omoda 4.
Showcased at a ‘User Summit’ held by parent firm Chery Group at its Wuhu, China headquarters, the urban B-segment sized crossover has been confirmed for UK entry in 2026.
Omoda is keeping full details of its new nameplate under wraps for now but the Ford Puma and Renault Captur rival will take a “future-focused look at what the younger generation needs from their car” and will offer drivers “a sense of safety, security and space”.
Design is inspired by “outer space itself” and the new 4 adopts a ‘Cyber Mecha’ design philosophy; a term coined by the brand to define its mix of angular lines, metallic finishes and details inspired by robotics and the aesthetics of science fiction comics.
The rather bold design includes ‘O-Universe’ lighting at the front – which uses a lightning bolt-shaped design, which is also carried into the rear lighting. This will also feature on the Omoda 7 that’s due to land here early in 2026.
There’s also a “tech-inspired cabin” that takes inspiration from the gaming world for a “sci-fi and e-sports-themed interior”. The central display uses a 2.5K Snapdragon processor – much like a gaming screen – and the driver’s own screen reinforces the feel of a gaming “cockpit”.
It doesn’t end there, as the Omoda 4 also gets a spaceship-inspired central control centre, where diamond-shaped physical buttons encase the middle of the cockpit. The engine start button is found beneath a red, pilot-style cage, adding “visual drama”.
The Omoda 4 will be available with ICE, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains, depending on region. It will also get the brand’s seven-year/100,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first), plus an eight-year warranty on the battery, alongside RAC Home Start, as standard.
When it arrives in the UK next year, it will join the recently updated 5/E5 C-segment SUV, the brand’s flagship 9 plug-in hybrid D-segment SUV and the upcoming Omoda 7 PHEV SUV.

This is the first car from Omoda to include the ‘Cyber Mecha’ thinking, and through the UK feedback, we can co-create together to define the next generation of Omoda vehicles. We launched Omoda [in the UK] in August 2024 with a bold vision for the UK market, and the addition of Omoda 4 further underpins our strategy – 2026 is going to be a great year as we add Omoda 7 and this, the Omoda 4, to the line-up.”
