Fleet World’s Best EV Compact Executive car is now available in two further versions

Polestar has announced that the game-changing Polestar 2 EV will now be available with the same long-range battery and a 228hp motor, or a smaller, standard 64kWh battery and a 221hp motor.

Other changes centre around the option packs available for the Polestar 2. The existing optional Performance Pack remains for the long range, Dual motor version only. It includes adjustable Ohlins dampers, Brembo brakes, forged 20-inch alloy wheels and ‘Swedish gold’ coloured details inside and out.

The Plus Pack, which was standard on launch versions, is now optional. It includes the full-length panoramic glass roof, premium Harmon Kardon audio system with 13 speakers, WeaveTech upholstery, Black Ash deco panels, fully-electric heated front seats, heated rear seats, steering wheel, wiper blades and a new heat pump that takes ambient heat from the drivetrain to reduce battery load by as much as 50%.

The Pilot Pack that was also standard on launch versions, is now optional too. It includes enhanced safety and driver assistance features, such as the Pixel LED headlights with LED front fog lights, Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, a 360-degree surround view camera, all-around parking sensors, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Cross Traffic Alert and a Rear Collision monitor.

Despite these comprehensive packs, there are still some standalone options available including Nappa leather and 20-inch alloy wheels.
