Polestar has officially opened UK orders for its updated MY2027 Polestar 4 coupé, delivering a sharper driving experience, a reduced carbon footprint and a restructured trim lineup with prices starting at £56,750.
The Polestar 4 gets a more refined ride with enhanced driving dynamics and stronger sustainability credentials
Chief executive officer Michael Lohscheller said the upgraded SUV-coupé offers a more refined ride with enhanced driving pleasure alongside stronger sustainability credentials without compromise.
Engineers focused heavily on sharpening the driving dynamics by equipping both the Rear motor and Dual motor variants with a heavily recalibrated chassis. The new set-up introduces high-capacity passive dampers, revised spring and anti-roll bar settings and polyurethane rebound stops to replace the old internal rebound coil springs.
Combined with enhanced steering precision, the modifications deliver a more controlled ride, greater agility and improved comfort across all driving conditions, according to the Swedish performance car brand.
Performance remains a priority, as the all-wheel-drive Dual motor variant retains its title as the fastest SUV in the Polestar lineup by sprinting from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
In tandem with performance upgrades, the Tesla Model Y rival reinforces its status as the most sustainable model in the brand’s portfolio. The cradle-to-gate carbon footprint has dropped to 19.4 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO₂e) for the Rear motor variant and 20.3 tonnes for the Dual motor version. This represents a clean reduction of 1.1 tCO₂e for the Dual motor variant since its initial launch, underscoring the manufacturer’s commitment to continuous environmental improvement.
The MY2027 model also brings a clear progression to the range through a revised trim level structure and new naming conventions. Customers can choose between the Rear motor, Dual motor and Dual motor with Performance pack. Subtle visual cues now differentiate each tier, specifically through the design of the seatbelts and rotary controls. The entry Rear motor features these details in solid black, the Dual motor adds a Swedish gold stripe, and the top-tier Performance pack receives full Swedish gold accents.
Structuring for Polestar 4 coupé trim levels has also been updated, with Business and Prime trim levels available for Rear motor and Dual motor variants. Business gains premium safety assistance including pilot assist, lane change assist and park assist pilot as well as rear privacy glass.
Prime adds interior upgrades such as Harman Kardon sound, head-up display, illuminated star knit door cards, rear control screen, 12-way adjustable seats with easy ingress/egress, reclining and heated rear seats, three-zone climate control and PM2.5 particulate filtration system. To the exterior, Polestar 4 coupé Prime models come with precision illuminated Polestar logo, Pixel LED headlights with adaptive high beam and power-operated tailgate with foot sensor.
The Polestar 4 coupé is available to order now, with pricing starting at £56,750 for the Rear motor version and £63,750 for the Dual motor version.
