The latest version allows users to report charging bays that have been blocked by conventional petrol or diesel drivers.

The integration of the data into version 3.0 of the app means it now covers 75% of London charge points and 80% of Northern Ireland charge point as well as marking its expansion into the Republic of Ireland.

Other changes for the latest version include the ability for users to report charging bays that have been blocked by conventional petrol or diesel drivers – otherwise known as ‘ICEd’ – and add and view enhanced status updates as well as extended account functions and a new café area for users to ask Zap-Map or other EV drivers’ general questions.

The company said the app – which is now available on iOS and already available on Android – will gain more live data and new features later this year.
