Electric vehicle stakeholders including fleet operators are being invited to attend one of two workshops in September to help guide the initial findings of the Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce.
The taskforce’s launch members including Energy Systems Catapult, National Grid, OLEV, the SMMT, Ofgem and the LowCVP
The taskforce was announced as part of the Road to Zero Strategy revealed in July 2018 – which outlined that most new cars will be ultra-low emission vehicles by 2030 – and brings together the energy and automotive industries to make recommendations to government and industry on how to ensure the electricity network is ready for mass take-up of EVs.
The initial findings will be relayed to the Government – with stakeholders including fleets now being invited to help inform the work through the new half-day workshops.
The events take place on 9 September in Glasgow at the Technology and Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde and on 13 September in London at the BEIS Conference Centre in Westminster.
The London meeting is at capacity, but there are still places available in Glasgow.
