The Casey Group has partnered with Fleet Operations to launch an electric car salary sacrifice scheme for employees across its construction, property services and environmental services business.

Delivered through Fleet Operations’ fully digital SalAd platform, the fixed monthly cost includes fully comprehensive motor insurance, lifestyle protection, servicing and maintenance, road tax, replacement tyres, breakdown assistance and accident management, helping employees budget with greater certainty.

The company already had a scheme in place but was seeking another provider to deliver the lowest price for employees.

Usman Siddique, group finance manager at the Casey Group, said: “Salary sacrifice makes electric cars more accessible to a wider group of employees, while encouraging the transition to lower-emission models also supports our longer-term commitment to net zero.”

Casey selected Fleet Operations following a full market review. The company’s competitive vehicle pricing, the breadth of cars available and the protection included within the scheme were decisive factors.

Siddique continued: “A salary sacrifice arrangement needs to work for the business as well as the employee. Fleet Operations offered a competitively priced scheme with safeguards that help reduce the financial risk associated with any unexpected changes in an employee’s circumstances.

“Early termination protection is included for events such as redundancy, resignation, parental leave and early retirement.”

The scheme was launched via an onsite webinar at Casey’s Rochdale head office, where employees were able to meet the Fleet Operations team in person, as well as dial in remotely, to find out how salary sacrifice works, the financial considerations involved and what they should think about when choosing an electric vehicle. Employees can compare vehicles available to them through a dedicated SalAd driver portal.

“Moving to an electric car can feel like a significant decision, particularly for someone who has not driven one before,” added Siddique. “The webinars and online tools have helped employees understand their options and make a more informed choice.”

Fleet Operations will manage the day-to-day administration of the scheme and provide ongoing support to both Casey and its employees.
