Polestar has expanded its Polestar Charge solution with a new entry-level monthly subscription and access to now more than 1.25 million public charging points across Europe.
Polestar Charge now offers a standard non-subscription tier and two new subscription levels: Plus and Pro
The firm’s public charging solution, which is included with the purchase of new Polestars and models from the pre-owned programme, allows drivers to access charging through the app and card. It also features convenient integrations such as Plug & Charge for compatible vehicles and the ability to filter for charging points included in the Polestar Charge network when planning routes in Google Maps.
Polestar Charge now offers a standard non-subscription tier and two new subscription levels, Plus and Pro, to replace the previous single-tier structure. These give customers discounts on the regular price of fast charging for a monthly fee.
The new Plus entry-level subscription tier is aimed at customers who occasionally need to fast charge and gives users a 15% discount on charging at five select fast charging networks in each market for £6.99 per month. The Pro tier targets those with frequent need for fast charging and gives users a 30% discount at seven select fast charging networks, including Ionity, in each market for £12.99 per month.
Both new subscription tiers now give users access to more charging points where they can save on charging. In the UK, the new tiers unlock access to more than 11,000 discounted charging points and more than 12,000 for Pro users, which is a 35% and 48% increase compared to before.
In Europe, the Polestar Charge network now gives access to more than 1.25 million charging points, including the Tesla Supercharger network, for both non-subscribers and subscribers.
Olivier Loedel, head of product software management at Polestar, said: “Polestar Charge provides users with one of Europe’s largest and most convenient charging ecosystems. Now, thanks to this expanded offer, we make it even more affordable for customers to benefit from savings on fast charging through subscription options that suit their needs and driving habits.”
