MFG slashes EV Power charging rates by 25% via Connect App

Motor Fuel Group (MFG) is extending a 25% discount for electric vehicle drivers, allowing Connect App users to pay just 59p per kWh for ultra-rapid charging across its entire nationwide network.

The reduced 59p rate applies from 1 October 2026 at all bays across the network via the Connect App

The saving equates to a reduction of 20p on every kWh, or up to £6 on a typical 30kWh charge, keeping MFG EV Power among the most affordable ultra-rapid charging networks in the country.

The reduced 59p rate applies from 1 October 2026 at all bays across the network via the Connect App. The app is free to download and there is no subscription or membership fee required to access the 25% discount.

This latest initiative builds on the success of its summer price drop. MFG cut its ultra-rapid price from 79p to 59p per kWh across its entire network on 1 July. Over the summer, drivers powered 100 million electric miles on MFG EV Power.

Martin Symes, EV director at Motor Fuel Group, said: “Making EV driving easier also means making it simpler and more affordable. With the MFG Connect app, drivers can start and pay for a charge in a few taps and pay just 59p per kWh at every one of our sites, among the most competitive ultra-rapid app rates in the UK.”

The discounted charging rate reinforces MFG’s work to build a high-speed network that drivers can rely on. Backed by a £400m investment, the company’s long-term EV strategy aims to deploy over 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers across 500 sites by 2030, establishing one of the UK’s premier charging networks.

MFG’s charging bays deliver power at 150kW, 300kW and up to 400kW, enabling drivers to add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

As part of its commitment to accessibility and convenience, MFG has installed rapid EV charging bays across nearly 300 Morrisons supermarkets, and many of its sites are co-located with leading retail and food-to-go brands, including Greggs, Pret A Manger, Burger King, Subway and Costa. This enables drivers to relax, grab a bite or pick up essentials while they charge.
