Allego UK, a leading en-route and destination charge point operator, has expanded one of its most popular UK sites to meet growing demand from electric vehicle drivers.

Since opening in 2024, the site – based at Chatham Dockside in Kent – has become one of the firm’s busiest across the country, recording around 18,000 charging sessions throughout 2025 alone.

Equipped with two new ultra-fast chargers, the newly expanded hub can simultaneously top up as many as 12 vehicles. This makes it one of the premier ultra-fast EV charging destinations in the region.

The site’s success is underpinned by its prime retail setting, allowing drivers visiting Chatham Dockside to plug in while shopping, dining or running errands rather than having to make a separate pit stop.
