Arnold Clark Charge, UK-wide ultra-rapid EV charging network, has announced a new roaming partnership with Paua, the EV charging payment platform designed specifically for business drivers.
Arnold Clark Charge announce Paua as new fleet roaming partner
This partnership strengthens Arnold Clark Charge’s commitment to making public charging as accessible as possible for all electric vehicle users.
Paua’s platform is purpose-built for fleet and business users, offering access to over 65,000 public charge point connectors across the UK through a single card or app. Paua’s software includes powerful tools such as home charging reimbursement, vehicle size filtering, depot sharing and advanced controls and API’s for businesses making it easier for fleet managers to control costs, streamline reporting, and support drivers wherever they plug in.
The addition of Paua to Arnold Clark Charge’s list of roaming partners means even more EV drivers can access and pay for charging using their preferred platform.
Launched last year as part of a £30 million investment by car retailer Arnold Clark, Arnold Clark Charge’s network now boasts over 50 ultra-rapid charging hubs at Arnold Clark branches nationwide, all of which are open to the public.
Each hub features up to 12 ultra-rapid chargers, capable of delivering charging speeds of up to 150kW, allowing drivers to top up quickly and get back on the road.
Work is already well under way to expand the network, with more locations set to open by the end of the year. Drivers benefit from one of the most competitive rates in the market, with ultra-rapid charging available at 55p/kWh – lower than the UK average of 76p/kWh.
Russell Borrie, chief executive officer at Arnold Clark, said: “We’re committed to investing in the future of the automotive industry and making electric vehicle charging accessible to everyone. With electric vehicles becoming increasingly popular, it’s essential that our charging infrastructure keeps pace with rising demand. That’s why we’ve made significant investments in our own UK-wide, bookable ultra-rapid charging network, Arnold Clark Charge.”
