Dacia has overhauled the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger with design and technology updates and powertrain changes.
The wide-ranging mid-life updates bring a new look to the Sandero supermini, the beefed-up Stepway version and the Jogger MPV with a new lighting signature, front and rear, plus new wheel designs.
The Sandero Stepway and Jogger get more rugged protections on the wheel arches, lower body and fog light surrounds with the arrival of Dacia’s durable, paint-free Starkle material. Created inhouse and first used in the latest Duster, it contains 20% recycled plastic and is fully recyclable. It’s also less vulnerable to everyday scratches.
Depending on trim level, the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger also gain new wheel designs and a shark fin antenna as standard from the Expression trim.
A new metallic body colour, Amber Yellow, debuts on Sandero and Sandero Stepway, while Sandstone is now available on Sandero and Jogger.
Inside, there’s new, more durable fabrics on the seats, dashboard and doors, along with a new multimedia system featuring a 10-inch central screen and connected navigation, as well as a wireless smartphone charger. At the same time, the 7-inch digital drive display gains a new interface design.
As with all Dacia models, the latest Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger are equipped with YouClip; the brand’s system for securing a wide range of dedicated accessories at key points around the passenger compartment in a practical and robust way.
Powertrain changes see the new hybrid 155 unit first introduced on Bigster arrive for the Jogger, replacing the hybrid 140. It will also become available on Sandero Stepway in the fourth quarter of 2026, giving it an electrified powertrain for the first time.
The full hybrid powertrain combines a 109hp 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors (a 50hp motor and a high-voltage starter/generator), a 1.4kWh battery (230V) and an automatic clutchless electric gearbox with four gears for the ICE engine and two others for the electric motor. It delivers 155hp and 170Nm of torque, along with a 10% reduction in emissions and fuel consumption compared with Jogger’s previous hybrid 140 powertrain. In the city, Jogger can remain in all-electric mode for up to 80% of the time, according to Dacia, and the car always starts up in all-electric mode.
The Sandero also gets a boost with a revised 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that now delivers 100hp – up from 90hp previously – and coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Sandero Stepway and Jogger remain available with the TCe 110 petrol engine and six-speed manual gearbox.
New comfort and safety features include automatic headlights, a multi-view camera and power-folding door mirrors.
The new Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger also gain new driving aids meeting the latest European safety standards: automatic emergency braking (city/highway with vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist and motorbike detection) and driver attention alert.
Finally, there’s a new ‘My Safety’ button for quick access to drivers’ preferred ADAS settings.
