DriveElectric, a leading EV leasing provider, can now add a Pod Point Solo 3S charger into its EV lease deals, and customers can also benefit from EDF’s GoElectric tariff – said to be the UK’s lowest fixed rate electricity prices for EV drivers, offering savings of £316 per year compared to EDF’s standard variable tariff.
Drivers can also bolt on smart charging to enjoy off-peak, cheaper rates for EV charging, saving up to an additional £251 per year, resulting in a total potential annual saving of £567. All of EDF’s EV tariffs are backed by 100% zero-carbon electricity generated by EDF.
In addition, customers can drive 5,000 miles for free, thanks to a £130 account credit. In total, all of these cost savings potentially amount to almost £700 in the first year.
Adam Kemp, director of partnerships at DriveElectric, said: “Switching to an electric car is already a smart choice with lower running costs than petrol or diesel. Our new package makes it even easier, with 5,000 miles of free energy and a low cost and zero carbon electricity tariff, plus the option of having a charger installed, so drivers can enjoy the benefits from day one.”
