Fiat Grande Panda on sale in electric and hybrid form

Fiat’s Grande Panda rugged supermini is on sale in the UK, delivering retro styling and a choice of mild hybrid petrol or fully electric powertrains.

Fully electric versions combine a 44kWh battery with a 113hp motor for a WLTP range of 199 miles

Designed at Fiat’s Centro Stile in Turin, the Grande Panda draws inspiration from the Fiat Panda of the 1980s and targets family and urban drivers.

Fully electric versions combine a 44kWh battery with a 113hp motor to deliver a WLTP range of 199 miles. They’re available in Red and La Prima trims, with on-the-road prices starting at £21,035. While the model is yet to qualify for the UK’s Electric Car Grant, Fiat offers its own E-Grant, delivering a £1,500 saving on the on-the-road price of all fully electric Fiat and Abarth models.

Alternatively, the mild hybrid version features a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 110hp, coupled with a 48V Li-ion battery and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Grande Panda Hybrid is available as Pop, Icon or La Prima, with on-the-road prices starting from £18,035.

Giuseppe Cava, managing director of Fiat UK, said: “The response to the car has been incredible so far and we are very proud that it has been recognised with so many awards.

“The several thousand registrations of interest on our website suggest that Grande Panda has already struck a chord with UK drivers, and we’re really looking forward to the preview tour starting. Our customers can come along, learn more about the car and see for themselves why our new Fiat is so special.”

First deliveries of the Grande Panda start from November.
