Omoda UK has upgraded its flagship Omoda 9 SUV line-up with a series of MY2026 updates, alongside the debut of a sleek new Black Noble specification.
Priced from £44,995 OTR, the enhanced Omoda 9 SHS-P arrives just over a year since the large plug-in hybrid SUV first launched in the UK and delivers improvements to ride comfort, interior luxury and everyday usability.
The newly introduced, design-led Omoda 9 SHS-P Black Noble variant sits at the top of the line-up, priced at £46,495 OTR. The new edition offers a distinctive black-on-black design treatment tailored for buyers seeking a bolder road presence.
Finished in a matte Iced Jasper Black paint, this special grade introduces a full dark exterior treatment that completely replaces traditional chrome elements with muted detailing. The dark aesthetic is reinforced by matte black roof rails, matching front and rear bumper cover trims, unique black alloy wheels and premium black suede cloth interior touches.
Beyond the visual changes exclusive to the Black Noble, the entire MY2026 range benefits from substantial mechanical and equipment upgrades. Engineers have re-tuned the independent suspension system with continuous damping control to deliver superior ride composure and cabin refinement. This is combined with an updated steering programme.
Everyday utility also receives a significant boost via an upgraded 6.6kW vehicle-to-load capability, which allows users to power heavy-duty external electronics directly from the vehicle battery.
Omoda’s Super Hybrid System (SHS) is carried over in SHS-P plug-in hybrid form. This combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with a 34.46kWh battery to deliver up to 449hp of power and 700Nm of torque. The result is a 0-62 mph time of 4.9 seconds, paired with a total driving range of over 700 miles, including up to 90 miles of pure electric driving, and CO2 emissions from 38g/km.
Inside the cabin, the brand has focused heavily on first-class comfort and material quality. The front row now features expanded electric seat adjustment and built-in massage functions. Additional premium equipment updates include an all-weather heated windscreen and a new suede cloth headlining.
All Omoda 9 SHS-P models continue to be supported by a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, alongside an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty.
Both variants of the Omoda 9 SHS-P are available to pre-order now, with deliveries starting in August.
The launch of the updated flagship occurs during a period of rapid market growth for the Omoda and Jaecoo brand across the UK. Recent performance has seen the dual-brand house deliver some of its strongest results to date – with combined market share of 4.58% in June – and growing demand driven by its expanding range of electrified SUVs.
Supported by an expanding nationwide network that now encompasses 146 dealers, the manufacturer is swiftly scaling up its local SUV offering, which also recently welcomed the mid-sized Omoda 7.
