The hot-hatch sibling to the Fiat 500e is getting a major price cut. Just days after Fiat announced its own eligibility, the all-electric Abarth 500e has officially qualified for the UK Government’s Band 1 Electric Car Grant.

The incentive slashes £3,750 off the price of the performance EV. This brings the entry point for the hatchback down to £24,245 OTR, while the open-top Abarth 500e Convertible now starts at £27,245 OTR.

The news mirrors a nearly identical announcement made earlier this week for the standard Fiat 500e. Both vehicles share the same core platform and factory origins, meaning the parent company has successfully secured the incentive across its entire urban EV lineup.

To qualify for the Band 1 grant, vehicles must meet strict government criteria regarding environmental impact, range, and overall sustainability.

Unlike its more sensible Fiat twin, the Abarth version focuses heavily on driving dynamics. First launched in the UK in summer 2023, the model pushes out 155hp, features sharper handling and includes the brand’s signature aggressive Italian styling plus an exclusive sound generator.
