The Citroën ë-C5 Aircross Long Range is now open for orders, offering 421 miles of range along with reduced pricing thanks to the Electric Car Grant.
The long-range version of the family SUV is the first vehicle of its type to be awarded the full £3,750 grant from the Government, which drops pricing to £32,935.
Available in You!, Plus and Max X trims, the ë-C5 Aircross Long Range features a 97kWh battery and a 230hp electric motor for a WLTP combined range of up to 421 miles.
That compares to a 73kWh battery and 210hp electric motor in the Comfort Range model, which has a WLTP range of up to 322 miles and qualifies for the smaller £1,500 government grant, bringing the price down to £32,565.
The battery cells for the Long Range versions are produced in Europe, at the Stellantis ACC plant in France, helping to lower the environmental footprint of the vehicle thanks to reduced emissions in the production process. This enables it to qualify for the larger government grant, which is awarded to models that meet strict technical and environmental criteria
The ë-C5 Aircross also features Citroën’s Advanced Comfort innovations, including progressive hydraulic cushions within the suspension and the Advanced Comfort seats used for the interior.
Entry-level You! versions come with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with high beam Assist, 13-inch touchscreen with 3D navigation, wireless smartphone charger, adaptive cruise control and an Urban Grey interior with Sofa fabric. Long Range You! variants start from £32,935 with the ECG applied.
Plus variants gain a Metropolitan Blue theme for the interior with ambient lighting, dark-tinted windows, proximity keyless entry, front parking sensors and 180-degree reversing camera. Long Range Plus variants are priced from £35,575 after the ECG.
Range-topping Max variants add the Hype Blue interior theme, extended head-up display, heated front seats and steering wheel, hands-free electric tailgate, and Drive Assist Pack 2.0 with semi-autonomous features. Max versions also gain a standard heat pump for improved winter efficiency and are priced from £38,215 with the ECG.
The ë-C5 Aircross is also available with full hybrid and plug-in-hybrid powertrains alongside the Comfort Range version.
