Humax launches MX Pro 22kW for scalable, fleet-ready charging

Humax EV Charging is bringing its MX Pro 22kW charger to the UK for commercial and fleet applications.

The new 22kW solution is designed for fleet, depot and workplace charging

The new 22kW commercial charger combines faster deployment, scalable infrastructure, intelligent vehicle authentication and open CPMS integration for fleet, depot and workplace charging.

The MX Pro is built to simplify both initial deployment and future expansion. By combining intelligent vehicle communication with a unique modular architecture, the platform is designed to grow alongside an organisation’s EV requirements.

A key benefit is the ability to make large-scale charger deployment easier. Sites can be pre-wired using the MX Pro backplate and protective dummy cover. This MX Ready framework allows electrical preparation to be completed before each charger is required.

As fleet demand grows, additional MX Pro units can be fitted to the prepared backplates without needing further wiring work. Daisy-chain connectivity reduces cabling requirements, while dynamic load balancing intelligently distributes available power across multiple chargers.

Matthew McMullan, director of automotive and energy at Humax EV Charging, said fleet electrification is not simply about installing more charge points.

“Operators require infrastructure that is straightforward to deploy today but does not restrict what they can do tomorrow. The MX Pro has been designed to address the challenge of future-proofing installations and minimising infrastructure disruption.

“Furthermore, the MX Pro brings a range of fleet-focused technologies into a single platform. One of the most important aspects is our agnostic approach to CPMS. We are already integrated with Monta, Fuuse and Ta, and are open to integrating with other CPMS providers,” he stated.

The MX Pro features AutoCharge, enabling charging to begin automatically when a recognised vehicle is connected, while Plug & Charge with ISO 15118-2 provides secure vehicle identification without requiring an app or RFID card. A MID-certified meter ensures accurate billing and cost recovery, while the integrated 4.30-inch LCD display provides clear charging information and a digital QR code.

Connectivity has been designed around the realities of commercial operation. The MX Pro includes a built-in 4G eSIM, allowing network providers to be changed without replacing physical SIM cards across individual chargers. The platform supports OCPP 1.6J and is upgradeable to OCPP 2.0.1, enabling integration across leading charge point management platforms. Its split-data architecture keeps Humax diagnostics and maintenance connected even when operators choose their preferred third-party CPMS.

The MX Pro delivers up to 22kW three-phase charging and supports single- and three-phase installations. Connectivity includes 4G LTE with built-in eSIM, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee, alongside built-in PLC and V2G readiness. The charger is rated IP54 and IK10, incorporates a range of electrical protections and is available for wall or optional pole mounting.

This launch builds on Humax’s established experience in EV charging. The company has deployed more than 18,000 EV chargers across South Korea, developing experience across both residential and commercial charging environments.

McMullan summarised: “The MX Pro brings together what we have learned from operating at scale with what UK fleet customers are asking for: simpler installation, easier expansion, open integration and hardware that is ready for the next generation of connected charging.”

The MX Pro launches from the end of November through leading wholesalers and distributors across the UK. Pricing is yet to be announced.
