EV charging and smart energy technology business, Indra, announces that all Smart PRO chargers manufactured from today are compliant with the full scope of the EV (Smart Charge Points) Regulations, including Schedule 1 due at the end of the year.

All Indra Smart PRO chargers manufactured from today are compliant with future regulations including Schedule 1 due at the end of the year.

Schedule 1 requirements, the second phase of the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, come into effect on 30th December 2022 and Indra products are now already compliant, two months earlier than legally required. The Schedule 1 regulations help to give the owners and users access to a deeper level of information, manage and control data and enhanced security protection.

Mike Schooling, Indra Founder and CTO comments: “Indra is committed to designing and manufacturing best-in-class smart charger products and we welcome these regulations, which we see as being vital to ensuring we have a robust future energy infrastructure.

“As well as developing the latest software to deliver the most efficient, cheapest and greenest energy for our customers, it’s also really important that the hardware is easy to use, safe and secure. Indra has now already met and exceeded the new regulations and is proud to lead the industry towards a smarter, safer and more secure energy market.”
