Kia PV5 Passenger seven-seat EV qualifies for £1,500 Electric Car Grant

Kia’s PV5 Passenger seven-seat electric people carrier is now eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG), reducing the on-the-road price by £1,500.

The Electric Car Grant brings the entry price for the PV5 Passenger seven-seat down to £35,495

The Band 2 grant, which is already available on the five-seat version, brings the entry price down to £35,495 and applies to all grades, including the recently introduced top-spec Elite.

Launched in June this year, the seven-seat model builds on the existing PV5 Passenger line-up, featuring a practical 2-2-3 seating configuration across three rows. It’s designed to meet growing demand for flexible multi-passenger mobility by combining generous interior space, fully electric performance and advanced connectivity.

Its versatile design targets a multitude of uses, including families, shuttle operators, ride-hailing services, airport transfers and other shared mobility applications.

A low 399mm step-in height via dual sliding side doors ensures easy access to both the second and third rows, while flexible seating arrangements provide from 350 litres of luggage capacity behind the third row, expanding to 3,430 litres with both the second and third row seats folded.

In the UK, it’s solely available with the Long Range 71.2kWh battery, delivering up to 246 miles of range (WLTP combined). Supported by rapid DC charging of up to 150kW, the battery can be recharged from 10 to 80% in under 30 minutes.

As with all PV5 models, the Passenger 7-seat is based on Kia’s dedicated E-GMP.S (Electric-Global Modular Platform for Service) platform, designed for class-leading interior packaging. It delivers up to 1,041mm of legroom in the front, 977mm in the second row and 970mm in the third row, accompanied by over a metre of headroom in each row and ample shoulder room.

With this latest announcement, Kia has further expanded its range of electric vehicles eligible for the Government Electric Car Grant, helping more retail and fleet customers make the switch to electric mobility.

The EV2, EV3, EV4 and PV5 Passenger are each available with the ECG, with selected grades qualifying for either the maximum Band 1 £3,750 grant or Band 2 £1,500 grant.
