Mazda expands specialised UK fleet network to power upcoming EV offensive

Mazda has strategically expanded its UK Fleet Dealer Specialist network by appointing Vertu Motors, one of the UK’s largest fleet vehicle suppliers, to drive its corporate sales ahead of a major electric vehicle offensive.

Brian Naughton, general manager of Birmingham Fleet

By adding Vertu to its specialised network, Mazda gains access to a distributor that supplies over 45,000 fleet vehicles annually to organisations of all sizes. Vertu’s established Birmingham fleet hub will manage all Mazda corporate enquiries, while physical vehicle testing and showcases will be hosted at the nearby Vertu Mazda Redditch dealership.

The partnership is timed to capitalise on the arrival of the highly anticipated Mazda6e, which will be followed by the CX-6e later this year. Both models boast driving ranges exceeding 300 miles alongside rapid-charging capabilities, ensuring their popularity with fleet customers looking to transition to electric vehicles.

Brian Naughton, general manager of Birmingham Fleet, said: “With the new Mazda6e arriving to market soon and the CX-6e set to follow later in the year, there is a real opportunity for Mazda to grow and expand within the fleet sector in the UK.

“With the knowledge and expertise that we have within our team, we are ideally placed to work alongside Mazda to promote two highly-appealing new models to fleet buyers, and are delighted to have joined the manufacturer’s fleet network.”

Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu, said: “Being named as a member of the Mazda Fleet Dealer Specialist network reflects the strength of our fleet business.

“We look forward to working more closely with Mazda and showcasing their upcoming models to the fleet sector.”
