To help soften the blow of increased utility prices, select EV charge points across the UK are issuing free chocolate bars for every 5kWh charged on 1 April.

The EV Boost promotion brings food for thought for drivers and fleets

A team of experts have calculated that the calorific content of each chocolate bar is equivalent to 10% of the energy provided, effectively giving an equivalent discount back to the driver.

The breaking news has been reported by EV Fleet World whose network director, Mr Hershey Goodbar said the move would bring a much-welcome boost to drivers.

Mr Goodbar commented: “Charge point operators say this represents the first in a series of add-on services, with a possible future introduction of chocolate tokens and vouchers, and ultimately the much-sought-after chocolate teapot.”
