Škoda has broadened its Enyaq electric SUV line-up with a new SportLine 85 variant for greater efficiency and longer driving range.
Available in SUV and Coupé body styles, it joins the existing all-wheel-drive SportLine 85x but delivers more range for a lower price.
Priced from £47,260 for the SUV and £49,160 for the Coupé, it’s fed by the same 82kWh (77kWh net) battery as the 85x but with a single, rear-mounted motor that generates 286hp and 545Nm of torque. This allows the new models to sprint from 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 111mph.
The SportLine 85 SUV returns up to 354 miles on the WLTP combined cycle, while the more aero-efficient Coupé offers up to 356 miles – higher figures than those delivered by the all-wheel-drive 85x version.
They’re able to carry out rapid DC charging at speeds of up to 135kW, while AC charging peaks at 11kW. A 10-80% charge on a suitable rapid DC charger can be achieved in around 28 minutes.
As with the SportLine 85x, it’s centred around a high specification with a sporting focus that includes progressive dynamic steering and sports suspension that lowers the ride height by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear.
Both SUV and Coupé models also feature 20-inch black alloy wheels, sports bumpers and gloss black styling details as standard. The interior comes with a head-up display, front sports seats, sports steering wheel and a Canton sound system. A variable boot floor and area view camera also come as standard.
