Peugeot opens orders for updated electric LCVs

Peugeot’s revamped range of electric vans is now on sale ahead of first deliveries in the spring.

The E-Partner, E-Expert and E-Boxer have all been revised as part of an all-encompassing van reboot across the Stellantis group line-up. All three Peugeot models benefit from revised styling, new technology and new, more efficient electric powertrains.

The brand is also rolling out the ChatGPT tool across its LCV line-up, integrated into the Peugeot i-Cockpit and accessed via the “OK Peugeot” voice assistant.

The smallest model in Peugeot’s e-LCV line-up and the best-selling small electric van in the UK, the new E-Partner features an updated design, new technologies and an increased all-electric range of up to 205 miles (WLTP).

It’s powered by a 136hp electric motor coupled with a 52kWh battery and offering an increased range of up to 205 miles (WLTP) thanks to improvements in the vehicle’s overall efficiency. The regenerative braking system offers three different levels of activation using steering wheel paddles, optimising range.

The E-Partner comes with a 7.4kW onboard charger, giving a full charge in 7.5 hours, while the optional 11kW three-phase charger cuts this to five hours. A 10-80% charge via a 100kW DC charger can be completed in 30 minutes.

The battery is installed underfloor, ensuring no compromise in load volume. Volume for the E-Partner is up to 4.4m3, while its payload of 780kg and towable weight of 750kg are benchmarks in the segment.

The E-Partner is available in two sizes: Standard van (4.40m) with a standard passenger compartment (up to three seats) or the long van variant (4.75m), available with a standard or extended passenger compartment (up to five seats).

It’s sold alongside the conventional ICE-powered Partner vans, which are equipped with 100hp or 130hp BlueHDi diesel engines, the latter available with an EAT8 8-speed automatic transmission.

The updated Partner is priced from £20,255 (excl. VAT), with the E-Partner starting from £26,205 (basic price after PiVG). Trims include the entry-level Professional version or the higher-spec Asphalt trim.

The revised E-Expert sits above it, featuring the latest Peugeot design at the front end, with the revamped grille and the brand’s new emblem.

It’s powered by a 136hp motor, teamed up with a 75kWh battery, offering a range of up to 217 miles (WLTP).

As with the E-Partner, the underfloor battery doesn’t impact on load space and the E-Expert delivers volume of up to 6.6m3, a payload of 1,000kg and a towable weight of 1,000kg.

As with the E-Partner, the new E-Expert is fitted with a regenerative braking system with a choice of three different regeneration levels, which can be selected using paddles located behind the steering wheel.

It also comes with a 7.4kW onboard charger (with an 11kW three-phase charger available as an option) and can also be charged at up to 100kW on a DC rapid charger. The 7.4kW charger gives a full recharge in 11 hours 20 minutes, dropping to seven hours 30 minutes with the 11kW AC charger. The 100kW DC charger gives a 0-80% zap in 45 minutes.

It’s available in a number of versions: Standard (4.98m) or Long (5.33m) panel van, and Standard or Long five- or six-seater crew van.

The Expert is also available with 120hp or 145hp BlueHDi diesel engines combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. The BlueHDi 145hp version can also be specified with an EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Expert is available from £26,710 (excl. VAT), with the E-Expert starting from £36,210 (basic price after PiVG) in Professional trim and also available in Asphalt guise.

Peugeot’s E-Partner is built at Ellesmere Port, the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant, while Stellantis is also starting production of the new E-Expert from 2025 at Luton, alongside continued production of the combustion van. Peugeot, alongside its sister Stellantis brands, is the only brand to manufacture volume light commercial vehicles in the UK.

The largest model in Peugeot’s LCV line-up, the E-Boxer bears new styling features such as full LED front headlights and redesigned rear lights, and also gets an interior makeover with a new steering wheel design, dashboard, seat fabrics and door panels.

It’s available in one single Professional trim and kitted out with a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 3D Connected Navigation. Automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger and keyless entry and start are also onboard.

Its electric powertrain teams up a 270hp motor with a 110kWh battery that provides range of up to 261 miles (WLTP). Paddles behind the steering wheel can be used to activate four different levels of regenerative braking for added efficiency.

The E-Boxer is equipped with an 11kW three-phase onboard charger, giving a full charge in 12 hours, while the 150kW DC charger enables a 0-80% charge in around 55 minutes via a suitable public charger.

The new E-Boxer is available in several versions. Based on the 4.04m wheelbase, the panel vans come in two lengths (L3 and L4) which are also available as incomplete chassis cabs.

It’s accompanied by a wide range of Boxer models equipped with the 2.2-litre BlueHDi diesel engine in two power levels, 140hp and 180hp, combined with a six-speed manual gearbox or a new eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The Boxer is priced from £30,315 (excl. VAT), with E-Boxer starting from £44,485 (basic price after PiVG).
