Peugeot’s e-Rifter electric MPV is now on sale in the UK, priced from £30,375 (incl. Plug-in Car Grant).

Order books for the Peugeot e-Rifter are open now, with first deliveries expected in November 2021

Unveiled earlier this year, the e-Rifter is available as a five- or seven-seater and built on the same EMP2 platform as sister models, the Vauxhall Combo-e and Citroën e-Berlingo.

As with its siblings, it gets a 136hp electric powertrain, providing a top speed limited to 83mph and a 0-62mph acceleration time of 11.2 seconds. Drivers can also choose from three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Power – and two regenerative braking modes.

The motor is powered by a 50kWh battery, giving an official 172-mile WLTP range. The e-Rifter comes as standard with a 7.4kW single-phase onboard charger that can provide a full charge in 7.5 hours. This is reduced to five hours using the optional 11kW three-phase onPboard charger.

The e-Rifter also supports 100kW rapid charging, providing 0-80% power in 30 minutes, and all Peugeot customers buying a new full electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle can get a six-month free subscription to the BP Pulse public charging network.

Two trim levels are available: Allure Premium and GT. The entry-level model is the five-seater Allure Premium, while the seven-seater Allure Premium is priced from £32,375 and the five-seater only GT variant starts from £32,455. All prices include the Plug-in Car Grant – the three versions are all below the £35,000 threshold for the PiCG.

Features include Peugeot’s digital i-Cockpit interior, available with both a 10-inch digital instrument panel and a digital central display. The e-Rifter also comes with full smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Onboard tech includes a keyless entry and start plus a reversing camera while driver assistance features bring lane departure warning, driver attention alert and automatic collision alert.

Allure Premium models come with 16-inch aluminium wheels, while the GT trim is fitted with 17-inch wheels.

Standard models measure 4.40m long, while long variants measure 4.75m. All variants have an external height of 1.90m and a turning circle of 10.8m. The e-Rifter can tow up to 750kg and comes with trailer stability technology.

Boot space ranges from 775 litres for the five-seat standard length variants, through to 4,000 litres with the seats folded on the long variant.

Order books for the Peugeot e-Rifter are open now, with first deliveries expected in November 2021.
