The contract, which started on 26 June 2025, will see the existing fleet of almost 750 diesel vans and 200 company cars at the English utility transition to electric and plug-in hybrids.

Novuna will also deliver an enhanced quality and responsiveness of fleet management services, as well as becoming the go-to for expertise and provision of all mobile plant.

The partnership with Novuna will also provide electric charging points at 36 work sites and at relevant employees’ homes across the UK, with the first installations scheduled to be at the firm’s Durrington and Falmer offices.

Moveable rapid chargers will also roll out Southern Water’s sites to enable the switch to electric vehicles while permanent infrastructure is designed and installed.
