The bZ4X Touring lands from June, packing in greater space and more practicality, along with up to 366 miles of electric range.

Two equipment grades will be available: Design featuring front-wheel drive and Excel with all-wheel drive. The entry-level Icon trim from the standard bZ4X will not be offered.

Prices start from £45,995 for the Design grade model and £51,695 for the Excel. By way of comparison, the bZ4X Design is normally priced at £46,760 but is currently reduced to £45,260.

The front-wheel-drive version delivers 224hp with 269Nm of torque; good for 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds. The all-wheel-drive version offers 380hp, with 269Nm front and rear and a 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds.

Both versions feature a 74.7kWh battery. WLTP range stands at 366 miles for the Design FWD variant and 297 miles for the Excel AWD version.

Larger and more versatile than the standard bZ4X, the Touring variant gets 669 litres of space, rising to 1,718 with the rear seats down.

Standard equipment includes a 14.3-inch Toyota Smart Connect+ multimedia system, wireless smartphone charger, heated front seats, power back door and Panoramic View Monitor.

The Excel adds in a more powerful 22kW onboard charger, 20-inch alloy wheels, Skyview panoramic roof, synthetic leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a digital rear-view mirror. It also gets an extended Toyota Safety Sense package with front cross traffic alert and lane change assist, plus advanced parking assist and downhill assist control. A JBL premium audio system is available as an option for the Excel grade.

First deliveries of the bZ4X Touring start in July.
