The London Borough of Bexley is working with Trojan Energy to roll out more than 70 on-street electric vehicle charging points to support residents without driveways.

The flat-and-flush charge points will deliver 22kW charging right at the kerbside while also maintaining full pavement accessibility. When in operation, visibility is enhanced through multiple lighting features to ensure the system is easy to see and navigate, even in low light.
When not in use, the charge points sit completely flat and flush with the pavement, removing any trip hazards and keeping walkways fully accessible.
The project is funded by the Government’s On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS) and supports Bexley’s journey toward net zero.
Trojan Energy has worked closely with Bexley to identify priority streets and engage local communities in the rollout.
Councillor Peter Craske, Bexley’s Cabinet Member for Places, said: “We’re committed to making electric vehicle ownership viable for everyone – not just those with driveways. These new Trojan charging points mean residents can charge their EVs easily and safely, helping us all move toward a cleaner, greener borough.”
Ian Mackenzie, CEO of Trojan Energy, commented: “Our mission is to make the EV transition achievable for everyone, and this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to inclusive, future-focused transport.”
