Updated Lexus RZ on sale with longer range and new performance flagship

Lexus has announced prices and specs for its updated RZ as orders open.

The RZ F Sport

The electric luxury SUV, the twin to the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra, has been given a comprehensive technical overhaul and a new-look range that starts from £53,995 and includes the first RZ F Sport model.

As with its siblings, the RZ has been treated to technical updates that include the introduction of a new 77kWh battery compared to the 71.4kWh pack before and a new motor. Together with revisions to the car’s eAxles to reduce energy losses and deliver higher output, this ups maximum power, gives faster acceleration and extends the driving range to up to around 353 miles for the most efficient RZ 350e FWD model (provisional WLTP figure) compared to 297 before.

The new line-up includes the first RZ F Sport; an all-wheel-drive performance flagship with a new steer-by-wire system, complete with a new-design squared steering yoke, said to be intuitive to use with responsive performance and reassuring feedback.

Priced at £69,995, the RZ 550e F Sport also gets Direct4 all-wheel drive as standard along with Lexus-first Interactive Manual Drive virtual manual gear shifting. The driver can choose to engage the system “which gives the sensations of manual gear select in a battery electric vehicle”, for a “deeper connection between man and machine”.

The line-up also includes front-wheel-drive 350e and all-wheel-drive 500e variants, available in Premium, Premium Plus and Takami grades, depending on the powertrain.

Twenty-inch alloy wheels can be specified for Premium and Premium Plus models for an additional £900. Bi-tone exterior paint finish is available for Premium Plus, Takumi and F Sport versions for an additional £1,100.

First UK deliveries of the updated RZ are expected in Q2 2026.
