Rolec and Go Zero are joining forces on a mission to accelerate the deployment of EV infrastructure across the UK’s hospitality sector.

Backed with a £100m debt financing facility secured by Go Zero, the two firms are partnering to advance multi-bay EV hubs at scale through Go Zero’s VendEx model, removing large upfront capital expenditure for businesses.

Research indicates 90% of EV drivers prefer destinations with charge points, but only 6% of city hotels in the UK currently offer EV charging, according to industry stats.

The new ‘Bon VoyCharge’ campaign spearheaded by the BVRLA this summer shows the importance of destination charging.

EV drivers increasingly expect to plug in as easily as they connect to WiFi when they arrive at a hotel. Yet destinations remain underserved, highlighting a clear gap in the market and a substantial opportunity for those eager to act now.

The new partnership between Go Zero, a specialist in charge point operator software, and charging solutions firm Rolec will help remove financial barriers to destination charging rollout, enabling businesses to implement infrastructure quickly while generating recurring revenue.
