Volkswagen launches 48-hour e-Golf test drives
Volkswagen is offering extended test drives of the e-Golf to help drivers see how the electric hatchback could fit in with their everyday requirements.
Customers can now arrange a two-day e-Golf test drive with their local dealer, picking the car up from site and dropping it back up to 48 hours later. Benefits of the car for drivers include an official 144-mile range (WLTP), exemption from charges for the London Congestion and Ultra Low Emission Zone as well as future Clean Air Zones, and a Benefit-in-Kind rate that will fall to just 2% from April 2020.
Announced as the brand also ramps up for the launch of its new ID.3 electric hatch – due mid-2020 and part of the new ID family of electric cars – the extended e-Golf test drives form part of the brand’s increased focus on helping drivers go electric.
Volkswagen also recently launched the volkswagen.co.uk/electric section of its website devoted to informing customers about its electric and electrified vehicles, as well as the ID. HUB – volkswagen.co.uk/id – a separate area of volkswagen.co.uk designed to offer facts about Volkswagen’s upcoming ID. family of electric vehicles. This section of the site also provides wider information about EV ownership, and allows pre-orders for the ground-breaking ID.3 as its world premiere approaches.
