Europcar Mobility Group UK has added the Jaecoo 7 SUV to its growing plug-in hybrid rental fleet.

Joining other popular PHEVs on the fleet, the Jaecoo 7 expands the choice of low-emissions vehicles available for business and leisure drivers across the UK.

Complementing the fully electric fleet, the PHEV fleet enables drivers to try out electric and hybrid driving first-hand to help remove anxieties and show how electric driving can fit into their business and home life.

The Jaecoo 7 is positioned as a premium SUV and features the Chinese brand’s Super Hybrid System. This combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an 18.3kWh battery and an electric motor. It’s capable of delivering 56 miles of electric-only range and a combined range of up to 745 miles.

The family SUV also features a full-length panoramic sunroof, eight-speaker Sony audio system and wireless mobile charging, as well as multiple driver assistance features such as lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking.

Tom Middleditch, sustainability spokesperson at Europcar, said the arrival of the Jaecoo 7 supports the mobility firm’s commitment to demystifying electrification.

“The wide range of hybrid and fully electric cars and vans on the Europcar fleet is helping drivers and businesses experience zero- and low-emissions driving, with many discovering just how easily they can fit lower-emissions vehicles into their operations.”
