A new rapid public EV charging hub said to be the largest in Yorkshire has opened at Cardigan Fields, Leeds.

Raw Charging’s new facility features 32 bays in total, comprising 14 AC fast chargers, six DC50 rapid chargers and 12 DC150 ultra-rapid chargers.

All chargers are accessible 24/7 so that drivers can charge their vehicles at any time, whether visiting retail outlets, restaurants, or leisure facilities or just passing through. The chargers are also designed for ease of use with contactless payment and 24/7 support.

Cardigan Fields’ line-up includes a cinema, bowling alley, gym, restaurants and eateries including Vue cinema, Hollywood Bowl and Nando’s.

Raw Charging is also celebrating the launch by offering all drivers free charging by signing up to Raw Rewards at the new hub from Monday 13 April to Sunday 19 April 2026.

The Cardigan Fields installation is part of a £24.5m investment by RAW Charging and Landsec to install EV charging bays across 25 premier retail and leisure destinations.

The new hub complements Raw’s 32-bay EV charging installation at Xscape Yorkshire, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to connecting places where people shop, dine, and enjoy leisure activities.

Raw was recognised with the Zapmap Best Destination Network Award for 2026, as well as the ICC Gold accreditation, cementing its position as the EV charging partner of choice for the UK’s leading leisure, retail, and hospitality destinations.
