Chery International has confirmed the UK arrival of its iCaur brand from early 2027, starting first with the flagship V27.

Pitched as an ‘adventure’ marque, iCaur specialises in rugged, off-road-focused SUVs. Already established in other right-hand-drive territories, the badge will mark Chery’s fifth brand in the UK, arriving three years after the company first spearheaded its British expansion with Omoda in August 2024.

iCaur will operate as a standalone brand in the UK, with its own dedicated team and route to market, but with the backing, experience and resources of an established global manufacturer, supported by a growing UK organisation.

iCaur’s UK debut will be led by the Defender-rivalling V27: described as a square-shouldered, five-seat SUV that pairs off-road capability with an advanced electrified powertrain.

The brand’s first model for the UK showcases its ‘Born to Play’ philosophy through a design that’s said to be inspired by nature. Its squared-off silhouette and grounded stance is paired with pronounced wheelarches that apparently mimic the shape of mountains, while a sharp beltline runs the length of the body like a natural ridgeline.

The cabin, which has already scooped the Best Interior Design Award in the Premium Car Category at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Awards, teams up “generous space with quality materials and a clear focus on usability”. There’s also an emphasis on using physical buttons to put key functions within easy reach, complemented by advanced digital screens and technology designed around everyday use.

While further details on UK specifications will be announced in the coming months, iCaur has confirmed that the model will feature an electrified powertrain from Chery International that offers off-road capability.

The inaugural iCaur model will also make use of Chery Automobile’s all-new R&D Centre of Excellence at UTAC Millbrook to refine its dynamics for UK roads.

Hot on the heels of the V27, iCaur has also announced the reveal of its next model, the V25, at the brand’s International User Summit next week.

The launch of the new iCaur brand will coincide with Chery Automobile’s 30th anniversary and the completion of Chery International UK’s third year in Britain.
