Electric Vehicles UK welcomes six new partners

Electric Vehicles UK (EVUK), the EV industry-to-consumer body, has added six new partners to its coalition amid record-breaking electric vehicle sales and consumer enquiries.

The new partners expand EVUK’s reach across charging, home energy, independent servicing and manufacturing

Osprey Charging, Pod, Zapgo, Myenergi, Cleevely EV and Gecko Risk have joined the alliance, expanding its reach across charging, home energy, independent servicing and manufacturing.

The new members join EVUK’s existing alliance of carmakers, charging operators, energy providers and EV specialists, as the organisation says record EV sales and enquiries underline the growing need for impartial driver guidance.

Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 27% of all new car registrations in May 2026, heralding one of the strongest months ever.

Meanwhile, data from Carwow shows that used EV enquiries were up 30% in April compared with February and March.

EVUK said it is seeing record levels of consumer enquiries through its channels but warned that misinformation about EVs is still widespread in parts of the media. This underlines the need for impartial, accurate and accessible driver guidance.

EVUK’s coalition – which already includes BYD, Polestar, Shell Recharge, Tesla, Chery, Omoda, Jaecoo, Octopus EV, OVO Energy, Admiral and others – is built to meet that demand head-on. The industry body delivers trusted information, real-world test-drive experiences and joined-up industry expertise.

Tanya Sinclair, CEO of Electric Vehicles UK, said: “Together with our existing partners, we are bigger, broader and better-equipped than ever to support UK drivers considering the switch to electric.

“And we need to be. Drivers want straight answers about EVs: on cost, on charging, on real-world range, on what’s right for their lives. Cutting through the noise with impartial, trustworthy guidance is exactly what EVUK exists to do.”

Neil Mahapatra, CEO of Zapgo, said: “Partnering with EVUK amplifies [our] mission to bring EV charging to underserved areas as we work alongside the best of the UK EV industry: sharing what we know, learning from each other, and helping to advance a faster, fairer EV transition. We also look forward to working with EVUK on numerous political projects to help shape the regulatory landscape.”

Pod CEO Melanie Lane commented: “The more people feel confident and informed about making the switch, the sooner they can benefit from what EVs have to offer. EVUK is doing exactly that work, giving drivers the clear, honest information they need to make the right choices. Joining as a member feels like a natural extension of what we’re doing at Pod.”

EVUK’s expanded alliance is the foundation stone of its #CheaperBetterBatteryElectric campaign; an industry-funded programme to give consumers confidence, support test-drive initiatives and communicate the full economic, technological and environmental benefits of battery EVs.
