Electric Zoe van joins Renault Pro+ line-up with 245-mile range

By / 4 years ago / UK News / No Comments

Renault has launched a van version of its Zoe supermini – combining a WLTP-rated 245-mile range and up to 1m3 of load space and particularly aimed at urban operators.

The Zoe van joins Renault’s expanding range of electric commercial vehicles – alongside the Kangoo Z.E. and Master Z.E.

Joining the Renault Pro+ range alongside the Kangoo, Trafic and Master, the Zoe Van is priced from £19,380 (excl. VAT and incl. PiVG) and is based on the Zoe car, including the same 52kWh battery and 80kW R110 motor in the latest model.

The R110 motor provides a 0-62mph time of 11.4 seconds and the zero to 31mph time is 3.9 seconds while the battery – which has an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty – can be charged using the standard type-2 charging cable – giving a 100% charge in three hours using a 22kW public charger – or using the 50kW DC charging capability that comes on both trim levels, allowing a 0-80% charge in one hour and 10 minutes.

Thanks to the removal of the rear seats on the Zoe passenger car, the van version has a completely flat load floor, fitted with protective rubber flooring and with four anchorage points on the floor. Meanwhile a mesh bulkhead behind the front seats ensures the load area is safe and secure and usable as possible and has been extended to prevent items falling out when the rear doors are opened.

Access via the boot is easy thanks to a level boot floor and minimal loading lip. The existing parcel shelf has been kept in situ but can be easily removed to make room for bulkier items. The rear windows are disabled and covered in an opaque film to increase security.

Total load volume stands at 1m3 and the Zoe offers 1,205mm of length in the load bay and maximum load width of 1,110mm. Maximum payload is rated at up to 387kg.

There’s a choice of Business and Business+ trim levels in line with other Renault Pro+ commercial vehicles. Entry-level features include a 10-inch TFT instrument cluster, 7-inch Easy Link infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, manual air con, electric front windows, Renault keycard with handsfree entry, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors and automatic headlamps and wipers. It also features full LED headlamps, 15-inch steel wheels with Michelin EV Energy Tyres, cruise control with speed limiter and Renault’s Z.E. Voice, low-speed pedestrian warning.

Business+ models add in sat nav, wireless smartphone charging, rear parking sensors and camera, 16-inch alloy wheels with Michelin EV Energy Tyres, automatic climate control and assistance features such as lane keeping assist, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition.

For fleet customers, a Telematic Control Unit is available for fleet asset management, optionally available on both Business and Business+ trims.

The Zoe van gets a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty seen on Renault’s car range. The first two years feature unlimited mileage restrictions, while the remaining three have a 100,000-mile limit.

Service intervals are every 12 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.
