Renault has announced prices for its expanded electric Master Z.E. commercial vehicle range, which now brings increased payload and additional body options.

The increased payload and additional body options provide bases for wide range of conversions

Revealed at the start of the month, the changes see the Master Z.E. gain 3.5-tonne capability alongside the existing 3.1-tonne derivatives, enabling it to provide an enhanced additional payload of 375kg. The extra gross vehicle weight brings the model in line with the diesel equivalent and is offered in an increased range of body styles; as well as the existing panel van model and two platform cab options, the Master Z.E. now gets a new chassis cab option.

As with the panel van and platform cab, the new chassis cab configuration is available in a choice of two lengths and two heights, plus a price listed ‘Off-the-Shelf’ Luton Low Loader Z.E., meaning the Master Z.E. now offers the widest variety of conversions for a large electric van range, according to Renault.

The new Master Z.E. 3.5T uses the same 33kWh battery as the 3.1T model, providing an all-electric range of up to 75 miles. When powered by a 7kW wallbox, a full charge is capable in six hours.

It delivers 225Nm of torque and features a series of on-board technologies to help optimise the range, including regenerative braking and an Eco mode, which restricts abrupt acceleration as well as limiting the maximum speed to 50mph.

Prices for the new Master Z.E. 3.5T start from £52,000 + VAT after the Plug-in Van Grant, with one sole ‘Business’ specification said to offer generous amounts of standard equipment and a range of key options.

The Master Z.E. 3.5T comes with a three-year / 100,000 mile warranty as standard while the battery comes with five-year / 62,000 battery warranty as standard.

Orders open from August.
