Fleet and automotive stalwart Martin Gray has joined Ohme as its new commercial operations manager for the UK and Ireland.

Gray, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the automotive industry, will work alongside the rest of the commercial operations team to continue to expand Ohme’s position in the fleet and leasing sector.

His appointment follows Ohme’s announcement of its partnership with Genesis in the UK and Hyundai in France, with further news to follow soon as the move to greater e-mobility gathers momentum.

Gray said: “Ohme’s unique software and class-leading technology along with its solar compatibility and excellent customer service makes it stand out. Ohme has managed to rapidly establish itself as the biggest home EV charging company in the UK and the fastest growing in Europe, so I’m thrilled to be helping to bring this smarter technology to more drivers.”

Gray’s automotive career started in 2002 at former dealer Johnstone of Renfrewshire and includes corporate roles at Mercedes and, most recently, as national fleet manager for Cupra and SEAT UK. His background also spans positions at Manheim and Fleet Alliance.

Ohme offers bespoke support for fleet and leasing customers with Ohme’s own fleet portal, bundled packaging offers and other unique assistance and training to help them with the e-mobility transition. The charging firm already partners with a number of renowned fleet companies such as Motability, SG Fleet, Volkswagen Financial Services, Athlon and JCT600.

Ohme is also the official charger provider for Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars and the Volkswagen Group in the UK and Ireland as well as Genesis, Hyundai, Smart, Suzuki and Xpeng in the UK. The business is also the official charger provider for Hyundai in France.
