Generational, a UK-based innovator in EV battery health certification, has teamed up with high-mileage used EV specialist Lease Cars Direct to deliver battery health testing for its stock.

Generational’s proprietary battery health testing technology combines with Lease Cars Direct’s offering, along with an extended warranty coverage courtesy of Warrantywise, to give used car buyers the confidence they need to go electric.

Assessments by Generational’s battery health solution show that Lease Cars Direct’s stock, which spans a wide range of vehicles with up to 150,000 miles or 15 years, currently returns an average of 89.9% state of battery health at 96,159 miles.

The business recently sold a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus for £12,000, with the vehicle delivering a remarkable 92.72% state of battery health at 96,252 miles – representing an excellent value proposition for going electric.

Generational’s small device can be plugged into an EV’s OBD port – securely analysing the vehicle’s data to accurately determine its battery’s state of health, before it’s valued or acquired.
