Hive has partnered with The Felix Project, supporting its mission to fight food waste and hunger across London.

Over Christmas and New Year, EV charging experts at Hive will provide charging for The Felix Project’s fleet of 27 electric vans, helping deliver surplus food to thousands of families in need.

The Felix Project rescues high-quality surplus food that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste. It’s then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations and schools across London that are helping to feed people experiencing hunger.  Last year, The Felix Project redistributed the equivalent of 38 million meals.

Will Savage, head of corporate partnerships at The Felix Project, said: “Having an EV fleet has helped us keep transport costs down, which means more resources can go directly to feeding families.

“Winter is a particularly challenging time for families; we recently found almost one in four (23%) of working parents in the UK have turned to a food support service in the last year to help them put food on the table, so keeping food moving to where it’s needed most is vital and partnerships such as our one with Hive are very welcome.”

Hive and parent company Centrica have also committed to continuing their work with The Felix Project in 2026.
