The Hyundai Kona Electric is now eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant, giving fleets and drivers a £1,500 saving off the on-the-road price.

The electric SUV is the first Hyundai model to score the Government’s EV grant, helping more drivers to go zero emission.

The £1,500 saving from the DfT’s Electric Car Grant Band 2 is available across every Kona Electric model ordered from 2 February, which means the Advance, N Line, N Line S and Ultimate specifications are all now cheaper.

The popular fleet model is also cheaper on Hyundai Finance deals. It’s now available from £349 + VAT on a 6+35 month contract with 8,000 miles per annum, which is a £38 per month improvement.

Meanwhile, customers choosing a Kona Electric via Motability will now see their advance payment reduce to £749.

Drivers can also benefit from Hyundai’s own Electric Grant, launched in July 2025 and running until 31 March. It’s available across the Korean brand’s EV line-up, offering £3,750 off all models of Inster and £1,500 off every Ioniq 5, 5 N, Ioniq 6, 6 N and Ioniq 9.
