Motor Fuel Group (MFG), the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator, has announced a major nationwide price cut across its entire MFG EV Power charging network to support drivers
Motor Fuel Group (MFG), the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator, has announced a major nationwide price cut across its entire MFG EV Power charging network to support drivers over the peak summer travel season.
The move makes MFG one of the UK’s cheapest ultra-rapid charging firms and could save up to £6 per charge
From 1 July through 30 September 2026, the tariff for ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging will drop by 25%, falling from 79p per kWh to 59p per kWh. The 20p per kWh reduction will save motorists up to £6 on a typical charge, positioning MFG as one of the lowest-cost ultra-rapid charging providers in the UK.
The summer discount applies across MFG’s established network of more than 2,000 charging bays spanning nearly 600 locations. The network’s ultra-rapid chargers deliver power outputs of 150kW, 300kW and up to 400kW, which can replenish up to 100 miles of vehicle range in around 10 minutes.
As part of its ongoing expansion, MFG has integrated rapid-charging facilities at nearly 300 Morrisons supermarkets. Many network hubs are co-located with high-street retail and food-to-go brands – including Greggs, Pret A Manger, Burger King, Subway and Costa – allowing drivers to access amenities during charging sessions.
MFG is investing over £400m into its EV charging network in line with the UK’s ambitious climate goals and the ongoing transformation towards cleaner, greener road transportation. With a plan to deploy over 3,000 ultra-rapid 150kW, 300kW and 400kW chargers at its sites, the company is helping to remove barriers to EV adoption and support local communities by supplying crucial EV charging infrastructure.
Martin Symes, EV director at MFG, said: “This summer price drop is our commitment to British EV drivers: we are putting you first, cutting our ultra-rapid charging rate to just 59p/kWh so that your summer journeys are cheaper, greener and hassle-free. With thousands of chargers across the UK and now one of the lowest rapid-charging prices in the country, there has never been a smarter time to go electric – now powered for less by MFG.”
