Mini has treated the Countryman Electric to a range boost to deliver over 300 miles on a single charge.

The updated Countryman E now delivers a WLTP range of up to 307 miles, compared to 286 miles before.

At the same time, the Countryman SE ALL4 is now capable of up to 287 miles, from 266 miles before.

The extended electric range is available for models delivered in March 2026 onwards and is the result of tech changes. Foremost is a new silicon carbide (SiC) inverter, which guarantees highly efficient energy conversion while minimising power in the powertrain.

This is complemented by an increase in the battery’s net capacity to 65.2kWh, providing more usable energy, while the Countryman also gets friction-reduced wheel bearings on the front axle to help reduce rolling resistance.

The changes follow the third-generation Countryman’s arrival in 2023 as the first version available with an all-electric powertrain.

Since late 2025, the Countryman has qualified for the Government’s maximum £3,750 Electric Car Grant, significantly reducing upfront costs.
