Škoda’s first-ever fully electric vRS is to launch in the UK this July in the form of the Enyaq Coupé iV vRS.

The Enyaq Coupé is the first all-electric model to wear Škoda’s vRS badge

Revealed last month, it’s both the first and flagship model for the brand’s new Enyaq Coupé – a coupé-SUV version of the regular Enyaq iV SUV with a more rakish design and targeted at drivers looking for “emotion with efficiency”.

Priced from £51,885 OTR, the vRS opens for orders next week and delivers 299PS, all-wheel drive and 460Nm of torque from its twin motors. It can despatch the 0-62mph sprint in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 111mph.

The 82kWh battery pack provides a WLTP driving range of 309 miles and can be rapid DC charged at up to 135kW, giving an 80% charge is as little as 36 minutes. On a standard 7.2kW home wallbox, a charge from empty to full will take around 13 hours.

The Coupé iV vRS comes as standard with a sports chassis that sits 15mm lower at the front and 10mm at the rear. Dynamic steering is also standard on vRS models.

Exterior upgrades include sports bumpers, 20-inch wheels and full LED matrix headlights. It also features as standard the Crystal Face debuted on the Enyaq SUV, which uses 131 LEDs to illuminate the grille. As with all Enyaq Coupé iV models, the vRS also comes with a full-length panoramic glass roof as standard.

The vRS interior includes exclusive design features such as black perforated leather sports seats with heated function and a leather multifunction sports steering wheel complete with vRS badge. The dashboard is finished with a leather-look material and includes carbon effect inserts. The cabin also gets aluminium pedals, LED ambient lighting and an electrically operated boot with virtual pedal.

Order books for the Enyaq Coupé iV vRS will open on 17 February. Other models in the Enyaq Coupé line-up will follow after.
